 Very nice compressor June 27, 2010

I recently switched from run-flat to regular tires on my Corvette, and needed a backup since my car doesn't have a spare. I wanted a portable compressor that was powerful enough to fill the large tires quickly, and the Viair 90P seemed to fit the bill.
I've only had it a couple of days, and have only used it once to balance all four tires to the same pressure, but it works admirably. It's very quiet, and the battery hookup wires are long enough to easily reach all four tires. The hose is also nice and flexible, making storage in the bag very easy. Another plus is that the bag easily fits in the hidden storage area in the hatch area, keeping the compressor out of sight. The only complaint is that the pressure gauge reads about 4 psi too high, but that's not a real problem since I always use a regular gauge anyway.
All around, it's a very good buy at a reasonable price. And even using the free shipping from Amazon, it arrived two days after leaving the distribution center in Kentucky.

I bought this to be used mostly with my motorbike - so attaching the pump to my Jeep Grand Cherokee's battery is not a big deal and works very well. However, it would be nice to use this on the Jeep when the tires get low. Sadly, the lines are too short to reach either of the rear tires on the Jeep (when using the Jeep's battery as the power source). Can't extend the air line because it is a closed system. Can't extend the power line because it is also a closed system - and has alligator clips on the end. So that is kind of a bummer. But for the occasional motorbike inflation it works very well.

The guage was bent and cracked upon arrival. Looking at the guage and protective handle it could have been designed better. Amazon did not have any inventory for replacement so I returned it and purchased the GoodYear version.

This little compressor will do the JOB! the only issue is the power cord is 12.ft. if you add 10.ft for a total of 22 feet, you can work with any suv. or pick up truck out there, and it hooks up directly to the battery with climps, it also has an in line fuse, (30amp)if you try it you will be glad you did, and not be disapointed. If it had a longer power cord it would get five stars... FRANKIE D.
