DO NOT BUY THIS!!!! August 9, 2010 Panzer22 This intercooler sucks power from your x360 which makes it more likely to overheat.
We bought one of these with my brother's first Xbox 360, and we kept getting the red ring of death. Luckily we had bought a one year Gamestop warranty, and we just traded it in and got a new warranty. We did this several times, each time the X360 lasting an average of 8-10 months. Finally the guys at Gamestop asked us if we were using this intercooler. Apparently this sucks power from your system (it does not have its own powersupply) and that causes your system to overheat, and thus the red ring of death. Also they recommended that you lay your Xbox360 horizontally and keep it where it can get plenty of air.
Intercooler review March 8, 2010 B. Arnold (Va.) This is working fine, poped it right on no problem,Hopefully it will add life to my xbox 360.
Thanks!
Bruce.
Burn It Yourself Instead! February 28, 2010 Bryan Hernandez Voids Warranty, Burn and melts the Xbox plastic, Causes Rrod by faulty power connection.
Just burn your Xbox yourself, you dont need the help of this fan, lol.
Poor service April 24, 2009 Annetta Belvin (Deer Park, Texas) I ordered this item in January. I have made multiple attempts to contact this seller to no avail. I still have not received this item or an email letting me know what the problem is. I would NOT recommend this seller to anyone for any reason. If I could give less than one star I definitely would.
Nothing can hide from time June 9, 2007 Matthew A. Burford (TX) Bought the Nyko Intercooler a few days after buying the 360 in October of 06, hoping to satisfy the fear of the red circle. Everything looked to be working. The fans rotated and my system wasn't dying. Although you can't really tell if the fans are working or not to cool th system down. And the power cord wasn't fully connected -even though it did "click" to represent that the cord went in as far as it could go- which required that I couldn't move my system while it was on or the 360 would shut off.
By the time May came around, my cooler shut off; it wouldn't work. I tried everything possible to revive the product, but nothing worked. And I wouldn't have minded this problem so much if it wasn't for the fact that the day prior to it stopping it was working excellent. It didn't even sound like it was dying.
Based on reviews of other irate buyers, this product has no consistency. It can die anytime from 1 month to a year from buying the cooler.
