I received rescue blankets that are 54" x 84" aluminized non-stretch polyester instead of the advertised 62x82 mylar. I had purchased this item because of it's high reviews and just hope they hold up when I really need them. Maybe I'll use one and see how it holds up and update my review if it's terrible.

I have not used these yet, but the purpose of my review is simply to let everyone know that these are the real deal. Many complain when purchasing Mylar Blankets that they did not receive the ones pictured and described on Amazon. From this seller you get the blankets that are pictured and described here.
They come individually wrapped, and don't take up much space in your first-aid kit. If you don't have some yet, get some. You'll be glad you did.

Exactly as advertized 62"X82" That other reviewer must have got the wrong ones. I ordered 12 from big fly and other then slow delivery by the post office. I'm very happy with what I got. They are made in China, Foil mylar rescue blankets, item # CB-6831, each one is wrap in plastic. For $11.50 a doz. I keep some in the truck, some in the fishing box, some in my hunting coats. Never had to really use one yet, so I can't attest to how well they really work, but if they only just kept the rain off you if you were lost, that alone would be worth the money.

THIS ITEM IS NOT AS ADVERTISED..!! Each blanket is SMALLER than advertised in overall square foot coverage. It is advertised in a number of areas as being 62" x 82" per blanket. However, it is plainly noted on the package that it is 52" x 84" and that is also the measured size. I did not receive the size I ordered, otherwise they appear to be very nice, strong, sturdy emergency blankets.
While a number of vendors appear to carry these blankets, the 12 blankets I ordered and received were from Medical Products Depot, Merchant SKU: DKL 721X12. Each blanket is packaged in a separate package measuring about 4.5" x 2.75" x 1" and they can be compressed smaller than that. The order was delivered ahead of schedule. It also irks me that the ones I purchased that were smaller than advertised were also several $$ more expensive than the ones currently being sold at Amazon. So I got less and paid more.. Guess it was my day to be the bug instead of the windshield..
Note to future buyers, efforts to refold these blankets and reinsert them back into their individual shipping bag will probably prove futile.. But, as packaged they are compact, very light weight, and should be available for decades to be used as recommended. If the size difference doesn't bother you, I'd certainly recommend these blankets to others.

We used these Mylar blankets to decorate for our space themed VBS. I could not find a better deal on these blankets than Amazon. It was great deal at 12 for a little over $12.
