My experience with the JetScream is that it is a decent whistle. Although from reading other reviews there seems to be a significant variance of opinion.
For me this whistle has performed fine and is consistently loud. I really like that it is low profile and has a flat design which means that it will fit into a lot of places in my gear. It is comfortable to wear on a lanyard or clip onto other pieces of gear. I own two of these whistles and have not been disappointed with either one.
I think this whistle is a great addition to an EDC bag.

I was excited about getting this whistle to add to my collection. I do a lot of hiking with the kids and want them to have a safety whistle out in the woods. I also coach soccer and use a whistle to ref games. I currently have the Fox howler for the kids and use the Fox classic 40 for myself. This whistle however, does not compare and is very weak. It is possible that mine is defective. I plugged one side at a time to test. One side was very weak..the other not much better. I would return mine, but don't know if it is worth the hassle. I tinker a lot and consider myself fairly handy. So I tried to figure it out. I believe because of the design it will be a hit or miss from whistle to whistle. On the other hand, I have never had a faulty fox and I believe it is because of the design. You can get a 2 pack of the howlers for about the same price. They are light, small and compact. I don't usually review items, but I was real disappointed. I hope this helps. BTW, I'm not Margaret. Just used hers to give the review.

I got this whistle to call my dog. I was using a standard chrome gym whistle. This thing is half as loud and my dog was insulted. The positive reviews are contrived. Read them carefully and you can tell. Do yourself a favor and stay away from this product.

The Ultimate Survival Technologies JetScream Whistle (Black) is a hoax. My daughter is a lifeguard and I thought that this would be the ultimate stocking stuffer for her and her supervisor (glad, I waited on the one for the supervisor---I won't be buying it!). This whistle is pathetic and a true waste of money. You can find a more piercing whistle in a 10-piece party favor package for a $1.00; which would make a $0.10 whistle value more than this one. IT IS TOTALLY WORTHLESS.
